Jean-Marc Lavanchy - Groundwater Protection and Waste Disposal Avce Pumped Storage Plant, Slovenia ![]() On March 30, 2010, the 180 MW Avce PSP was put into operation at an opening ceremony by the Slovenian Prime Minister. The project is located on the Soca River close to the Italian border. The plant construction started in 2005 following the Licensing Project in 2004. The Avce project is the first pump storage plant in Slovenia and, with 180 MW, the biggest hydropower plant in the country. The plant was designed by AF-Colenco in consortium with Korona Ltd from Ljubljana. AF-Colenco has been involved in the design and implementation of this plant since 2003 until present. Ondrej Voborny - Hydropower Plants Overhaul UW Zillis (KHR) ![]() As already realized in the 60/16kV substation Rüti, the substation Zillis of KHR (Kraftwerke Hinterrhein AG) will undergo a complete refurbishment. This is the last of a string of substations which were refurbished by KHR. AF-Colenco could secure the Contract. Our services include feasibility study, planning and engineering as well as site supervision and commissioning.
