In the Electrical Networks department, backed by 90 years of international experience and interdisciplinary project teams, are qualified consultants relying on extensive experience in transmission line and substation engineering to guarantee the client excellent technical support. Particular attention is payed to environmental concerns and economic solutions.  The skilled staff from different specialized groups create a strong team ready to fulfil all necessary tasks and requirements of the client and of the project starting from the study phase all the way to the commercial operation of the plant. This department consists of the following four groups, each with its own special fields:
Together, these four groups deal with the new installation and reconstruction of existing transmission lines and substation projects, as well as installation of mobile communication systems on pylons. The switchgear activities cover high and medium voltage switchgear, complete network substations, distribution networks, low voltage transformer up to power transformer stations and compensation systems. As a speciality, expert consultancy jobs are carried out in the field of network calculations and analysis of electromagnetic fields where general project services such as studies, concepts, specifications and system evaluation are provided. Transmission line projects range from distribution lines and distribution networks to underground cable systems and to high voltage transmission lines, with the special experience of transmission lines in difficult areas, such as the extreme altitudes of the snow and ice covered Swiss Alps or lines going through Asian and African jungles or swampy areas. |
